Our extra-curricular highlights
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Every year, our 3-6 students enjoy a 3-day, 2-night excursion. We have explored Canberra, Dubbo and the Borambola Sport and Recreation camp as well.
To complement this, our K-2 students enjoy a day trip. We have been to Junee and the Altina Wildlife Park.
Sport
Every year, students from Marrar Public School have the opportunity to represent the school at our small school carnivals. This includes: athletics carnival, swimming carnival and cross country.
Students in senior years, also have the opportunity to trial for teams in the Coolamon-Ardlethan PSSA teams in various sports such as AFL, netball, athletics, swimming and cross country.
Students participate in various gala days and activities such as sporting schools programs that are run at the school with qualified coaches from a variety of different sports.
